The World Ovarian Cancer Coalition has established the Global Expert Advisory Group on Ovarian Cancer bringing together patient advocates, leading clinicians and policy makers from around the world to move this initiative forward. The Group has identified three key areas of focus:
Building community and policymaker awareness
Optimising routes to diagnosis
Driving access to services and treatment for hereditary ovarian cancer
Alongside its broader agenda on awareness, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement, the Global Expert Advisory Group plays a central role in Project PROTECT, the Coalition’s flagship initiative. It validates key deliverables, reviews modelling assumptions, and ensures mortality-reduction targets are feasible, equitable, and aligned with global health priorities. The Group champions evidence-based intervention pillars and embeds equity, gender, and lived experience across all outputs—while acting as ambassadors to drive policy uptake and country-level impact. Additional information about Project PROTECT will be available soon.
