Tammy Brown
Tammy Brown returns to the Coalition’s Board of Directors, after serving as Treasurer. She brings over 30 years of experience in audit, accounting, finance and governance across industrial markets through her career at KPMG LLP, Canada, and has a strong commitment to community. As a member of the Shawanaga First Nation, she actively champions Indigenous relations and reconciliation.
In addition to her technical and client service abilities, Tammy is known for her significant interest and contributions within HR from coaching and mentoring throughout her career to taking leadership roles in the development of others and in diversity and inclusion. Tammy was the partner sponsor of KPMG Canada’s National Indigenous Peoples Network and led KPMG’s Truth and Reconciliation Actions. She was also the National Industry Leader for Industrial Markets and served as the Deputy Chair of the board of KPMG in Canada.
Tammy holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts (Economics, Finance and Accounting) from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant. Tammy was recognized as a Fellow of CPA Ontario and was awarded as one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 in the Professionals category in 2021.
Tammy serves on the board of the Bank of Montreal, and is an emeritus director and past chair of Ovarian Cancer Canada, past chair of the board of directors of Women’s College Hospital, and a past director of Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary.
