Bridget Nesko Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Inc.
The Center functions in two ways.
Philanthropic activities funded directly by the Bridget and Kevin Nesko Foundation support specific programs aimed at preserving Bridget’s name and legacy. These include perpetual award and memorial programs at Bridget’s alma mater George Mason University (Fairfax, Virginia), where she earner her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, and Samaritan Hospice (in New Jersey), which provided hospice support services to Bridget as she lived her final days at home with her husband. Private funds are used for other programs as well.
Public activities, funded both by private funding and public support, include the Bridget Nesko Ovarian Cancer Education Center, LLC – which is overseen by an independent Board of Trustees and an external Development and Oversight Committees.
