Cure Our Ovarian Cancer is excited to be a Champion of the Global Ovarian Cancer Charter. We are a global research charity based in New Zealand. We work around the world on behalf of women diagnosed with low-grade serous carcinoma, a rare and stubborn form of the disease. It is our hope that with global collaboration and targeted research we can create better outcomes for women with low-grade serous carcinoma and all types of ovarian cancer.

At ASACO we believe we need to highlight the need for increased symptom awareness, psychological support, patients’ right to ask for new treatments and the importance of procedures performed by a Gynaecological Oncologist. KolGOTrg welcomes the Global Ovarian Cancer Charter because of its ability to highlight the challenges of progress for women with ovarian cancer in low and middle-income countries such as India where we are based and the need to close the gap with more affluent settings. We hope that the work we have undertaken to establish a patient focused clinical research group within a tertiary cancer centre in such a setting, will encourage others down this hard but rewarding path to driving much closer and fruitful engagement with patients and improvements in survival.

The Dempsey Center supports the mission of the Charter to create access to treatment and support services.

The mission of the Dempsey Center is to make life better for people managing the impact of cancer. We provide counseling, support groups, programming for youth and families, complementary therapies, nutrition consults and classes, educational classes, movement and fitness consultations and classes. Our programs/services are located at our physical sites in Lewiston and South Portland Maine, and our virtual site Dempsey Connects. All programs/services are available to anyone impacted by cancer in the state of Maine, and select programs are available to those outside of the state. We seek to make accessing our programs as low barrier as possible – there is no charge for any of our programs/services.
